Foroflar are a fictional amphibian genus created for speculative fiction, tabletop games, and world-building. In most continuities, the genus Foroflar belongs to the family Foroflidae and comprises several species described as forest-dwelling salamander-like creatures.

They are described as endemic to cloud forests of the Vael Highlands on the fictional continent of Xyra, typically found near streams and mossy boulders at elevations from 1,000 to 2,500 meters.

Adults range from 20 to 28 cm, with smooth iridescent skin that shifts from emerald to violet. They have elongated bodies, broad heads, and partially webbed limbs with small toe pads.

Foroflars are largely nocturnal and crepuscular, feeding on invertebrates, algae, and moss. They lay gelatinous eggs in mossy nests and are described in some narratives as exhibiting modest parental care during the early life stages.

In-universe, foroflars symbolize streams and ecological balance. Their imagery appears in folklore, art, and museum dioramas within fan-created settings, and they occasionally appear as educational examples of freshwater ecosystems in those worlds.
