Fluxului is the genitive/dative form of the Romanian noun flux, which denotes movement, flow, or passage. In Romanian, flux is masculine; its definite forms are fluxul (nominative), fluxului (genitive/dative), fluxul, fluxuri, fluxurilor, etc. The term appears in many technical and everyday phrases, for example fluxului magnetic or fluxului electric, where it means “the magnetic/electric flux.” The word derives from Latin fluxus, meaning a flowing.
