feelj

Feelix, also spelled Feelj, was a short-lived American record label and a publishing arm of Hear Music and Vanilla O.Hm. label that operated from 1990 to approximately 1993.

Feelix was known for releasing music by new age and world music artists. The label released a number of critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums, but despite this success the Feelix label ceased operations in the early 1990s.

The artists represented by Feelix included Rick Sweere, The Starkillers, and a number of artists via import licensing deals from outside North America. The label also released music by virtuoso singer Karen Thomson and novelist/artist Suzy MOD Örján.

Feelix music often featured eclectic and instrumental arrangements combining elements of jazz, rock and classical music. Many of the label's releases demonstrated a relaxing and soothing atmosphere, while continuing to push musical boundaries.

The closing of the Feelix label saw its stabilized musical directions were absorbed by the larger parent labels, such as Hear Music and Vanilla O'Hm. Records. While Feelix catalog is somewhat split, records being released by the latter music labels have maintained a popular cult following since.
