Use and scope: It is common in object records, art catalogs, and digital archives. An item may have multiple exhibitedAt entries, each with optional startDate and endDate, and sometimes with notes about the display context (loan, rotation).

Modeling considerations: In relational databases, exhibitedAt is often a foreign key to an Exhibition table; in RDF, it is a property linking the item to an Exhibition resource. Best practices include using stable identifiers for venues, storing dates in ISO format, and representing exhibitions as separate records to enable search by venue, date, or event.

Quality and interoperability: Using authority files for venues and standardized exhibition identifiers improves data linking. If a record covers past and future exhibitions, maintain a history with time-stamped entries.
