Etämyyntitilaus refers to an order placed remotely, typically online or by phone, for goods or services. This type of transaction is common in e-commerce and telesales. In Finland, etämyyntitilaus is subject to specific consumer protection laws. These laws generally grant consumers a right of withdrawal, allowing them to cancel the purchase within a certain period after receiving the goods or services, provided certain conditions are met.

The right of withdrawal typically applies to distance contracts, which include etämyyntitilaus. Consumers usually have 14 days to exercise this right, starting from the day they receive the ordered items or, in the case of services, from the day the contract is concluded. The consumer must notify the seller of their decision to withdraw from the contract.
