erekciós
Erekciós refers to the physiological process of penile erection. This complex mechanism involves a combination of neurological, vascular, and hormonal factors. During sexual arousal, signals from the brain are transmitted to the nerves controlling the penis. These nerves release neurotransmitters that cause the smooth muscles in the penile arteries to relax. This relaxation allows for increased blood flow into the spongy tissues of the penis, known as the corpora cavernosa. As these tissues fill with blood, the penis becomes engorged and firm, resulting in an erection. The increased blood pressure within the corpora cavernosa also compresses the veins that normally drain blood from the penis, further contributing to the rigidity. The process is reversible, and an erection subsides when the stimulus for arousal ceases and blood flow returns to normal. Various factors can influence the ability to achieve and maintain an erection, including psychological state, physical health, and certain medications. Disruptions in this process can lead to erectile dysfunction.
