epävarm
Epävarm is not a standard Finnish word in contemporary usage. The ordinary adjective describing lack of certainty or confidence is epävarma, from the prefix epä- meaning not and varma meaning certain. In most modern texts, epävarm is not used as a separate entry; if it appears, it is usually considered nonstandard, dialectal, or a historical variant. The related noun is epävarmuus and the adverb is epävarmasti.
In standard Finnish, epävarma describes situations, decisions, or statements that are not certain or reliable. Examples
