elementlarning

Elementlarning is an Uzbek grammatical form formed from the noun elementlar (the elements) combined with the genitive suffix ning. The result, elementlarning, marks the possessive or genitive relation in a noun phrase, meaning “of the elements” or “the elements’.” It is used to connect a head noun to a modifier that specifies belonging or association with the elements.

Morphology and formation: The base word is element (element), which becomes elementlar to indicate plurality (the elements). The plural noun then takes the genitive suffix ning, yielding elementlarning. This suffix combination is common in Uzbek for linking nouns in a possessive or descriptive relationship, and it follows vowel harmony rules inherent to Uzbek suffixes.

Usage: Elementlarning is typically used before another noun that denotes what belongs to or relates to the elements. Examples include: elementlarning xususiyatlari (the properties of the elements), elementlarning soni (the number of the elements), and elementlarning tavsiflari (the descriptions of the elements). In scientific or encyclopedic contexts, such constructions help specify attributes or categories connected to a group of elements.
