Elektronnøytrinoene are one of the three known types, or "flavors," of neutrinos. Neutrinos are fundamental subatomic particles with very little mass and no electric charge. They interact very weakly with other matter, making them notoriously difficult to detect. The electron neutrino is associated with the electron and the W boson in weak nuclear interactions. Along with the electron, it is produced in processes such as beta decay.
