elektromagneetti
An elektromagneetti, or electromagnet, is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by an electric current. Electromagnets usually consist of a large number of tightly wound turns of wire, called a coil. When an electric current is sent through the wire, the coil generates a magnetic field. This magnetic field is concentrated in the center of the coil. The strength of the magnetic field depends on the amount of current flowing through the wire and the number of turns in the coil.
The magnetic field of an electromagnet can be turned on or off by switching the electric current
Electromagnets have numerous applications. They are used in electric motors, generators, loudspeakers, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
