Eladtuk is a fictional mineral and cultural motif used in the worldbuilding project surrounding the region of Ashara. It appears across literature, games, and visual media within that project, serving both practical and symbolic roles.

The term eladtuk derives from the Shal language fragments ela (light) and dtuk (stone), reflecting its luminescent quality.

In-world, eladtuk is described as a translucent mineral with a faint blue glow and moderate hardness. It absorbs solar energy and re-emits luminescence in darkness. The material is said to store limited amounts of electrical energy, which explains its use in decorative lanterns and ceremonial artifacts.

Historically, eladtuk was mined in the basalt belts of the northern Asharan highlands and traded along the Velis corridor. It features prominently in early texts as a symbol of guidance and protection.

In contemporary stories, eladtuk is used to symbolize resilience and memory. The Eladtuk Festival celebrates the mining tradition and features lantern processions where eladtuk inlays power lights.
