Efferenteja is a term used in some languages, including Estonian, to denote structures that carry signals away from a central site. It is the plural form corresponding to efferente, the counterpart to afferente. In biological systems, efferenteja describe pathways or cells that conduct information away from a control center toward effectors.

In neuroscience, efferenteja refer to efferent pathways or neurons that transmit motor commands from the central nervous system to muscles or glands. They contrast with afferenteja, which carry sensory information toward the brain and spinal cord. Examples include somatic efferent neurons that stimulate skeletal muscles and autonomic efferent neurons that regulate smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, and glandular activity.
