Dieid is a phenomenon where a person knowingly discloses their own number to be odd despite having information that would suggest it to be even. The dieid can exhibit a confirmation bias and are often unaware of their dieid.

Dieid occurs due to an interaction between the base rates and the confirmation bias, which the brain enables due to a violation of the intuitive understanding we have about the dieid, building up an overly strong reliance on relevant, that is available information. While dieid takes the form of an odd number (when the dieid numbers forms an odds:evens ratio in excess,), most people are unaware that they themselves may be dieid.

Dieids make up some 60% of the situations in which they favor odd over even ratio respectively to the odds favored probability associated with the event odds (initially believed).

Dieid is not usually realized by the person performing it.
