diacilglycerolü
Diacylglycerol, often abbreviated as DAG, is a lipid molecule consisting of a glycerol backbone with two fatty acid chains esterified to it. It is an important intermediate in the synthesis of triglycerides and phospholipids, which are major components of cell membranes and energy storage molecules in the body. DAG plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways. Specifically, it is generated by the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) by the enzyme phospholipase C. This enzymatic action releases DAG and inositol trisphosphate (IP3) into the cytoplasm.
Once formed, DAG acts as a second messenger, activating protein kinase C (PKC). PKC is a family
