The core principle of destilaní is that when a liquid is heated, its more volatile components vaporize first. The vapors are then cooled and condensed back into liquid form, yielding a distillate that is enriched in the more volatile constituents. Factors such as relative volatility, azeotropes, and heat management influence efficiency and selectivity.
