Creixeu is a small municipality in Catalonia, Spain. Located in the interior of the region, it encompasses a central town and surrounding farmland. The landscape is characterized by gentle hills and Mediterranean scrub, with elevations between 180 and 420 meters above sea level.

The settlement dates to the late Middle Ages and is first mentioned in 1172 in a donation charter. Historically agricultural, the area grew around olive groves and vineyards. In the 20th century, improving roads and railway connections integrated Creixeu with larger towns, stimulating modest industrial and service activity.

As of the latest counts, Creixeu has a population of about 1,200 residents. The economy remains primarily agricultural, supplemented by small-scale manufacturing, crafts, and rural tourism. Local producers market olives, wine, and artisanal foods, while family farms still practice traditional techniques.

The cultural life centers on a Roman Catholic parish church dedicated to Sant Esteve, a 13th-century building restored in the 18th century. The town hosts an annual summer festival and a weekly market that draw residents and visitors. Catalan is the predominant language alongside Spanish.
