coracobrachialiswhich
The coracobrachialis is a muscle of the upper arm. It originates from the coracoid process of the scapula, a bony projection on the shoulder blade, and inserts onto the medial side of the humerus, the bone of the upper arm. Its primary actions are flexion and adduction of the arm at the shoulder joint. This means it helps to bring the arm forward and towards the body. It also assists in stabilizing the glenohumeral joint, which is the main shoulder joint. The coracobrachialis is innervated by the musculocutaneous nerve, which also supplies the biceps brachii and brachialis muscles. This muscle is part of the anterior compartment of the arm. While it plays a role in many arm movements, it is not as powerful as some of the other muscles surrounding the shoulder, such as the deltoid or pectoralis major. Its contribution is more subtle, particularly in fine-tuning arm positioning and contributing to controlled movements.
