Comptoni is a fictional town and administrative center in the republic of Veridia. It lies along the Lir River in the Veridian Plain, about 60 kilometers from the national capital. The town covers roughly 65 square kilometers and features a historic core ringed by farmland and low hills.

Founded in the 12th century as a market settlement, Comptoni grew through river trade and crafts. It received a town charter in 1273 and later developed as a regional trading hub. In the 19th and 20th centuries, railways and manufacturing expanded, shaping its modern economy while preserving its historic center.

Comptoni operates under a mayor–council government. The council has 12 members elected for four-year terms, and the mayor serves as head of government. The population is about 28,000, predominantly Veridian-speaking, with small communities speaking neighboring languages.

Its economy combines services, education, light manufacturing, and agriculture in surrounding valleys. The town hosts a university campus and several research institutes, plus a small business district anchored by markets and craft workshops.

Notable landmarks include Comptoni Cathedral (13th-century Gothic), the Market Square, and the Old Silk Mill. The annual harvest festival and local gastronomy are key cultural features.

Comptoni is served by a regional railway line and major road connections, with a small regional airport nearby.
