byrådets

Byrådets is a Danish term formed as the possessive of byråd, referring to the executive body of a Danish municipality. In governance language, byrådets is used to describe actions, documents, or decisions that originate from the byråd, such as byrådets beslutninger (the council’s decisions) or byrådets budget (the council’s budget). The byråd is the administrative and political leadership that implements the policies approved by the municipal council.

The byråd typically consists of a chairperson, often called byrådsleder, and several byrådsmedlemmer (members), who are appointed by the municipal council. The exact size and composition vary between municipalities and usually reflect the political composition of the governing coalition.
