budete

Budete is a grammatical form found in Czech and Slovak, serving as the second person plural future tense of the verb být, meaning "to be." It is used when addressing more than one person, or when using the formal address, where the pronoun vy is implied. The form is typically used for statements about future states, such as "Budete šťastní" (you will be happy) or "Co budete dělat?" (What will you do?).

In both languages, budete is formed from the future stem bud- with the second-person plural ending -ete.

Negation is formed with the prefix ne-, as in "nebudete" (you will not be).

Examples:

Czech: Budete šťastní. Co budete dělat?

Slovak: Budete šťastní. Čo budete robiť?
