bolmaganligining

Bolmaganligining is a grammatical construct in Uzbek that denotes the possession or attribution of nonexistence. It is the genitive form of bolmaganlik, a noun meaning nonexistence, absence, or lack. Bolmaganlik itself is formed from bolmagan, the negative participle of bo‘l- (to be), combined with the suffix -lik to create an abstract noun meaning the state of not existing. The suffix -ning attaches to bolmaganlik to create bolmaganligining, which functions as a possessive/genitive phrase: the nonexistence of something, or its absence.

In usage, bolmaganligining is used to link the abstract notion of nonexistence to a specific noun, similar to English "the nonexistence of X." It appears in formal writing, analysis, and discourse about hypothetical or past scenarios where something did not occur or is absent. Example: "Uning bolmaganligining sababi hali aniqlanmagan."
