Boem is a Dutch onomatopoeic word used to represent a loud impact or explosion. It functions as an interjection, similar to English “boom” or “bang,” and is commonly used in everyday speech, comics, and literature to convey a sudden noise or crash.

Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is a United States federal agency within the Department of the

Interior.
It
was
formed
through
the
reorganization
of
the
former
Minerals
Management
Service
to
separate
energy
development
responsibilities
from
safety
and
enforcement
functions.
BOEM
oversees
the
exploration
and
development
of
offshore
energy
resources
on
the
United
States
Outer
Continental
Shelf,
including
oil
and
natural
gas,
as
well
as
offshore
wind
energy.
The
agency
issues
leases,
conducts
environmental
reviews,
and
coordinates
with
other
agencies
to
ensure
safety,
environmental
protection,
and
sustainable
energy
development.
In
its
work,
BOEM
collaborates
with
the
Bureau
of
Safety
and
Environmental
Enforcement
(BSEE)
on
standards
and
compliance
and
with
the
Office
of
Natural
Resources
Revenue
(ONRR)
on
revenue
administration.
