biograficzna

Biograficzna is a Polish adjective meaning “biographical” or “relating to biography.” It describes things connected with the life stories of people, such as notes, descriptions, or works centered on a person’s life. The word is formed from biografia (biography) with the adjectival suffix -iczny, yielding masculine biograficzny, feminine biograficzna, and neuter biograficzne. The feminine form is used with feminine nouns, for example nota biograficzna (a biographical note), informacja biograficzna (biographical information), or relacja biograficzna (biographical account). The masculine form appears in phrases like film biograficzny (biographical film) or opis biograficzny (biographical description).

In scholarly and literary contexts, biograficzna data or biograficzne źródła refer to materials about a person’s life. The term is closely related to biografia and życiorys (life story or résumé). A field studying biographies is sometimes referred to as biografistyka. Biograficzna usage is common in journalism, academia, and cultural discourse when distinguishing life-story content from fictional or other non-biographical material.

Notes: biograficzna is an ordinary adjectival form in Polish and must agree with the gender and number of the noun it modifies.
