Bilirubiinidiglukuronidi is a specific form of bilirubin found in the body. Bilirubin is a yellow pigment produced during the normal breakdown of red blood cells. Initially, bilirubin is unconjugated, meaning it is not soluble in water and needs to be transported in the blood bound to albumin.

In the liver, unconjugated bilirubin undergoes a process called conjugation. This involves the addition of two molecules of glucuronic acid, forming bilirubiinidiglukuronidi. This conjugated form is water-soluble, which is essential for its excretion from the body.
