armomvang
Armomvang refers to the circumference of the upper arm. In practice, the common related measure is the mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC). It is typically measured with a flexible, non-stretchable tape at the midpoint between the acromion (the shoulder bone) and the olecranon (the elbow tip). The person should stand or sit with the arm relaxed at the side, palm facing inward. The tape should be placed directly on the skin or over light clothing, snug but not compressing the tissue, and perpendicular to the arm. To improve accuracy, two or more measurements are usually taken and averaged.
Uses and applications: Armomvang is used in health, nutrition, and athletic contexts as a simple indicator of
Interpretation and limitations: Armomvang reflects both muscle mass and subcutaneous fat, and readings can be affected
