arazilerde
Arazilerde is a Turkish locative form meaning “in the lands” or “on the lands.” It is formed from the noun arazi (land, terrain) plus the plural suffix -ler to create araziler (lands, plots) and the locative suffix -de, which in this combination becomes -lerde when the plural ending is present. The result arazilerde literally indicates location across multiple parcels of land and is used to describe where an action occurs or where a state exists.
In Turkish, the locative case answers questions such as where something happens (“in/on/at”). Arazilerde therefore can
- Arazilerde sulama kanalları bakıma ihtiyaç duyuyor. (The irrigation canals in the lands need maintenance.)
- Bölgedeki arazilerde tarım faaliyetleri yoğunlaştı. (Agricultural activities intensified on the lands in the region.)
The word derives from arazi (land) with the plural suffix -ler and the locative suffix -de, yielding
