APRU, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, is a non-profit international organization comprising leading research universities in the Asia-Pacific region. It was established in 1997 to foster collaboration among major universities and to address regional and global challenges through research, education, and policy dialogue. The alliance has grown to include more than 50 member institutions from countries across the Pacific Rim, including universities in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Canada, the United States, and other parts of the region. Members pursue a shared commitment to advancing higher education, promoting cross-border collaboration, and expanding opportunities for students and scholars.
