ankeskift
Ankeskift is a term originating from Scandinavian languages, literally translating to "ankle shift" or "change of ankle." In a practical sense, it refers to the act of shifting one's weight or posture by subtly moving or adjusting the position of the ankles. This movement can be done unconsciously as a way to find comfort, relieve pressure, or prepare for a change in stance. It can also be a conscious action, for instance, when dancers or athletes make minor adjustments to their footing for balance or to initiate a movement. The term is not widely used in English outside of contexts where Scandinavian influence is present.
