andasensis
Andasensis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, commonly known as the daisy family. The genus was described in 1987 by botanist Victor S. Tito. Plants in the genus Andasensis are native to South America, primarily found in the Andes mountain range. They are characterized by their herbaceous growth habit and the presence of composite flowers, typical of the Asteraceae family. The flowers usually consist of ray florets and disc florets, often exhibiting shades of white, yellow, or purple. Species within Andasensis are often found in alpine and subalpine habitats. Further taxonomic and ecological research is ongoing to fully understand the diversity and distribution of this genus.
