Amárico is a Semitic language spoken in Ethiopia. It is the official working language of the federal government of Ethiopia and is also the most widely spoken language in the country. Amárico is estimated to have around 30 million native speakers and an additional 25 million second-language speakers. It is the third-largest language in Africa by the number of speakers, following Swahili and Hausa.
