Amiinoryhmään is a Finnish term referring to an amine group, a functional group in organic chemistry with the general structure R3N, where R can be a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or aryl group. In simpler terms, it's a nitrogen atom bonded to one or more carbon atoms. Amine groups are considered derivatives of ammonia (NH3) where one or more hydrogen atoms have been replaced by organic substituents.

Amines are classified into primary, secondary, and tertiary amines based on the number of organic substituents attached to the nitrogen atom. Primary amines have one organic substituent and two hydrogen atoms (RNH2), secondary amines have two organic substituents and one hydrogen atom (R2NH), and tertiary amines have three organic substituents and no hydrogen atoms (R3N).
