Al-Jawad, also known as Ja'far al-Sadiq, was the sixth Imam of the Twelver Shia branch of Islam. He was born in 743 AD in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and was the son of Imam Musa al-Kazim and his wife, Umme Kulthum. Al-Jawad is known for his extensive knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and hadith. He was also a prominent figure in the development of Shia jurisprudence, known as Usul al-Fiqh.
