aflossingsdatums
Aflossingsdatum is the date on which the principal portion of a loan repayment is due, as part of an amortization schedule. In loan agreements, the borrower makes periodic payments according to a predetermined timetable. Each aflossingsdatum marks a payment that reduces the outstanding loan balance by the amount of principal repaid on that date. The payments typically consist of interest on the remaining balance and a principal component; over time, the balance declines until the loan is repaid in full.
For amortizing loans, such as many mortgages, the payment amount may be fixed (annuities) or the principal
In practice, aflossingsdatums are monthly for many consumer loans, but can be quarterly or at other frequencies.
