Zipzárrals

Zipzárrals are a fictional species originating from the planet Xylos. They are known for their distinctive bioluminescent markings that pulse with a soft blue light. These markings are thought to play a role in communication within their species, though the exact nature of this communication is still under study by xenobiologists. Zipzárrals are typically small, averaging around 15 centimeters in height, and possess four slender limbs. Their diet consists primarily of a nutrient-rich moss found on Xylos, which contributes to their unique internal luminescence.

The social structure of Zipzárrals is communal. They live in interconnected underground burrows, sharing resources and responsibilities for their young. Their reproductive cycle is synchronized with the planet's dual moon phases, leading to periods of heightened activity and population growth. Despite their small size, Zipzárrals are known for their surprising agility and their ability to navigate complex environments with ease. Their natural predators on Xylos are few, due to their swift movements and the natural camouflage provided by their environment. First contact with off-world species occurred in the late 23rd century, and since then, limited trade has been established, primarily for Xylosian flora and the Zipzárrals' unique luminescent secretions, which have found applications in advanced medical technology.
