Zgad
Zgad is a traditional form of brief riddle used in the social practice of a fictional culture often encountered in world-building and speculative fiction. In the language of this culture, zgad refers to a short piece of verse or prose that encodes clues about a common object, action, or idea. The aim for participants is to identify the subject from metaphor, wordplay, and culturally shared knowledge. A zgad is typically spoken aloud by a host during gatherings and is followed by discussion and, when appropriate, a reveal.
