Zemgallian
Zemgallian refers to a historical region and its inhabitants in what is now Latvia. Historically, Zemgale, or Zemgallia, was one of the four major regions of Latvia, alongside Kurzeme, Vidzeme, and Latgale. The Zemgallians were one of the Baltic tribes who inhabited the area. Their territory was located south of the Daugava River, bordering Samogitia to the southwest.
