Zakhar

Zakhar was a Russian nuclear-powered icebreaker ship built by the Georgy Safonov yard in Leningrad in 1959. The ship had a sister vessel, known as the Taimyr, which was built in 1959 at the same yard. Zakhar was designed to operate in the harshest Arctic conditions and was powered by three nuclear reactors.
