Yishuvs
Yishuvs, also known as settlements, were Jewish communities established in the Land of Israel during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The term "yishuv" is derived from the Hebrew word for "settlement." These communities were established by Jewish immigrants from various parts of the world, primarily Eastern Europe, with the aim of creating a Jewish homeland. The first yishuv was established in 1882 in Rishon LeZion, followed by others in Petah Tikva, Rehovot, and others.
