Ydinsanomien
Ydinsanomien, a term originating from Finnish, directly translates to "nuclear atom" or "atomic nucleus." It refers to the central part of an atom, which is composed of protons and neutrons. These subatomic particles are held together by the strong nuclear force, one of the fundamental forces of nature. The number of protons in an atom's nucleus determines its atomic number and, consequently, which element it is. For example, all atoms with six protons are carbon atoms. Neutrons, while contributing to the nucleus's mass and stability, do not affect the element's identity.
The ydinsanomien is incredibly dense and contains almost all of an atom's mass. The number of neutrons
