WatertownFort, also known as Fort Watertown, was a military fortification located in Watertown, New York, United States. It was established in 1755 during the French and Indian War to protect the British colonies from French and Native American attacks. The fort was strategically important due to its location near the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers, which facilitated trade and communication.
