Wahrscheinlichkeitsverhältnisse, often translated as probability ratios, are a way of comparing the likelihood of an event occurring versus not occurring. They are frequently used in statistics and probability theory. A simple example is the odds of an event, which is the ratio of the probability of the event happening to the probability of it not happening. If the probability of an event is P, then the probability of it not happening is 1-P. The odds are then P / (1-P).
