Växte

Växte is the simple past tense form of the Swedish verb växa, which means to grow or to increase in size, amount, or degree. It is used to describe growth that has occurred in the past, whether it concerns living organisms, objects, numbers, or concepts.

Grammatical notes: Växa is a strong verb. In present tense it is växer, and in past tense it is växte. The past participle, used with perfect tenses, is vuxit (for example, har vuxit meaning “has grown”).
