Värmeväxlaren, meaning "heat exchanger" in Swedish, refers to a device designed to efficiently transfer thermal energy between two or more fluids that are at different temperatures. These fluids might be liquids, gases, or a combination of both, and they are typically kept separate to prevent mixing. The core principle of a heat exchanger is to maximize the surface area of contact between the fluids, allowing heat to flow from the hotter fluid to the colder one until they reach a more stable equilibrium.
