Värelusega

One common context for värelusega is when observing objects through heated air, such as above a hot road surface on a sunny day or near a fire. The rising heat creates pockets of air with different densities and refractive indices, causing light rays to bend and distort, resulting in a wavering image. This phenomenon is also responsible for the shimmering appearance of stars in the night sky, as their light is refracted by atmospheric turbulence.

The term can also be used more metaphorically to describe a sense of instability or uncertainty in a visual or even abstract sense.
