Vähemmistöosakkaiden
Vähemmistöosakkaat refers to minority shareholders in Finnish company law. These are shareholders who hold a small proportion of the total shares in a company and thus have limited voting power. Despite their limited voting rights, Finnish law provides certain protections for vähemmistöosakkaat to prevent their interests from being unfairly disregarded by the majority shareholders.
These protections often include rights to information, such as access to company accounts and meeting minutes.
The concept of vähemmistöosakkaiden protection is rooted in the principle of fair treatment of all shareholders.
