Vishnuvardhan

Vishnuvardhan was a highly influential Kannada film actor and producer. Born Sampath Kumar on September 18, 1950, he adopted the screen name Vishnuvardhan early in his career. He made his debut in the 1972 film Vamsha Vriksha. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he appeared in over 200 films, becoming one of the most recognizable and beloved stars in South Indian cinema.

Vishnuvardhan was known for his versatile acting prowess, essaying a wide range of characters from intense dramatic roles to action-packed performances. He starred in numerous commercially successful films, many of which became landmarks in Kannada cinema.
