Verivalikoima refers to the set of blood and blood-derived products that a hospital transfusion service or blood bank keeps available for clinical use. The collection typically includes cellular components such as red blood cell concentrates, platelets, and, where applicable, white cell–containing products; plasma and plasma-derived products such as fresh frozen plasma and cryoprecipitate; and, in some systems, stem cell products or granulocyte concentrates. Depending on the facility, the verivalikoima may also cover related supplies and reagents used in testing, crossmatching, and component preparation.
