Verbier

Verbier is a ski resort village in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. It is part of the municipality of Bagnes and sits at about 1,500 meters above sea level, above the alpine village of Le Châble in the Val de Bagnes. The area forms a gateway to the Four Valleys ski region.

Four Valleys links Verbier with Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Siviez, providing extensive alpine terrain. The network includes roughly 410 kilometers of pistes served by dozens of lifts, reaching up to Mont Fort at around 3,300 meters. The resort is noted for challenging off-piste routes and long descents, as well as panoramic high-alpine scenery.

Verbier is a year-round destination. In winter its pistes and backcountry terrain attract skiers and snowboarders, while summer activities include hiking and mountain biking. The village provides a range of accommodation, dining, and shopping, with a reputation for high-end facilities and a vibrant après-ski scene.

Access is via road from Martigny or Sion, and by rail to Le Châble, from which a cable car links to Verbier. The area is part of the Swiss Alps tourism network and balances traditional Alpine village character with modern infrastructure.
