The VenturiMaske is a brand name for a type of medical oxygen delivery device. It is designed to provide precise concentrations of oxygen to patients who require supplemental oxygen therapy. The core principle behind the VenturiMaske's operation is the Venturi effect, a phenomenon in fluid dynamics where a fluid flowing through a constricted section of a pipe decreases in pressure.

In the context of the VenturiMaske, air is drawn through specific jets or nozzles, creating low-pressure areas. These low-pressure areas entrain room air, mixing it with a predetermined flow of oxygen from a wall outlet or oxygen cylinder.
