Väljalasketeks is an Estonian term that translates to "exhaust test" or "emissions test" in English. It refers to a mandatory inspection of vehicles to ensure that their exhaust emissions comply with environmental regulations. In Estonia, this test is a crucial part of the regular technical inspection (tehniline ülevaatus) that all registered vehicles must undergo.

The primary purpose of väljalasketeks is to measure the levels of various pollutants emitted by a vehicle's engine. These pollutants typically include carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter. The specific substances and their acceptable limits are defined by Estonian legislation, which aligns with European Union directives on vehicle emissions.

During a väljalasketeks, a vehicle is connected to specialized equipment that analyzes the gases expelled from its exhaust pipe.
